30 Hour Famine - Registration

30 Hour Famine

Our Famine Dates: March 23-24

Our Goal: To raise $12,000 to help feed and care for over 30 hungry kids for one year.

Assuming it takes you two minutes to read this description, 40 children under the age of five will have died. 40 CHILDREN. And those deaths are from hunger, poverty, and hunger-related diseases – all completely preventable.

The good news is that our youth group has decided to do something about it: participate in World Vision’s 30-Hour Famine. In 2011, approximately 150 Cornerstone Middle School students fasted for 30 hours to raise awareness and funds for world hunger. Included in the weekend is music, teaching, service and of course fun times together!

Cornerstone is in the top 30 of hundreds of churches nationally in terms of the amount of money raised over the past nine years. Students can sign up by using the button below.

Parents can support us by:

  1. Praying. Ask God to bless our students as they overcome hunger.

  2. Volunteering. Come join us during our Famine Weekend. You can sign up by clicking here, or by visiting the kiosk in the Hub March 10/11 or March 17/18. It takes approximately 70 adults to make this event happen!

  3. Giving. Just $30 can help feed and care for a child for a month! Donate on our group webpage at 30hourfamine.org (search for group "Cornerstone United Methodist") or give us a check made out to World Vision. Every donation is tax-deductible!
