Circles GR

Moving from poverty to economic stability isn’t a simple process; it takes more than a structure of long and short-term goals. It takes a circle of trust, support and accountability.

Circles GR is a community collaboration of churches, people, community and business leaders coming together to help alleviate poverty!

How Can You Help? Dinner!

An important part of Circles is the Monday night dinner served at weekly meetings (see details below). Every third Monday of each month, Cornerstone is providing a healthy dinner for those meetings at ICCF (Inner City Christian Federation) at 920 Cherry Street SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503. Your family or Life Group can prepare and serve that meal. Click on the button below for more details and to help!

More About Circles GR

At the weekly Monday night meetings, participants called Circle Leaders, (typically highly motivated low-income persons who are trained, supported, and committed to leading their own lives out of poverty) get together with Circle Allies (community volunteers – typically with middle-class income and above – from area churches/businesses). They’re trained and supported to become encouraging friends with the Leaders, and they make an 18-month commitment to meet with them at least two Monday nights per month.

Part of the weekly meeting involves coming around a table for a meal with Leaders, children of Leaders, Allies and meal volunteers.
