UMCOR Disaster Response
UMCOR Disaster Relief

The 2017 Hurricane Season may be one for the record books. Harvey and Irma have left lots of destruction and hurting people in their wakes, and the season isn't over! UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) is in full gear.

UMCOR: What It Is and Does

UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) is a ministry of The United Methodist Church through the General Board of Global Ministries. Their goal is to assist the most vulnerable people affected by crisis or chronic need without regard to their race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. We believe all people have God-given worth and dignity.

UMCOR’s work reaches people in more than 80 countries, including the United States. They provide humanitarian relief when war, conflict, or natural disaster disrupt life to such an extent that communities are unable to recover on their own.

How Can You Help?

On UMCOR's webpage, you'll find all the options. By the way, if you choose to donate money, all the funds go directly to relief, NOT overhead!
