Our Hope for Your Wedding
There’s no shortcut to building a solid foundation for marriage. It takes time—both quantity and quality—to prepare for a permanent relationship that will be strong and healthy.
Please look over our wedding brochure. The information in it will answer many of your questions about weddings at Cornerstone.
Planning Your Wedding at Cornerstone
The process of having your wedding at Cornerstone begins with filling out our wedding request form. Once your request is received, one of our wedding coordinators will contact you.
Note: Due to our high volume of requests, wedding reservations for building rentals only (non-attenders at Cornerstone, non-Cornerstone pastor) will not be accepted. Any exceptions to this policy will need to be approved by our lead pastor.
Pre-Marriage
We want to help you build a marriage that will last by coming alongside you with a purposeful process designed to help you start your marriage right. The wedding administrator can help you decide which of the following options is best for you.
1. MENTORING: The primary option for couples is marriage mentoring. Marriage mentors are experienced couples who have navigated marriage for a while and have a heart to walk alongside engaged couples. Couples will meet for 6-8 sessions with their mentors for a few months before the wedding and after, as marriage begins.
2. PREMARITAL RETREAT: The Premarital Retreat is offered each Spring and Fall as a Friday evening (2.5 hour) and Saturday (8 hour) event and is led by a mentoring couple. It focuses on the major areas to navigate as you prepare for marriage and provides the same materials used for mentoring in an abbreviated form.
3. PREMARITAL ASSESSMENT & COUNSELING: The wedding administrator will let you know the date and time of the opportunities available. You will need to complete the PREPARE Inventory Assessment. This should be done 3-4 months prior to your wedding date. When the results are ready, a lay counselor meets with you to go over the results, usually in one to three private sessions. There may be a fee for materials.
